Seeing its advantages, it is hard to ignore its importance.  You must be aware of some of the following Digital Marketing strategies, making sure you include most of these if not all, as your business strategies to cope with the ever increasing competition and stay ahead of the game.

Search Engine Optimization (SEO)

Competent SEO structures your individual web pages as well as the website so that they are easily discovered, analyzed, and indexed by the various search engines.  Competent SEO knows the changes in search rules and helps your website stay at top of the various search result pages by anticipating logical algorithms such as most used keywords and other techniques.  It lets web crawlers work at the back end and doing their job in the most accurate and automated form.

Advanced Link Building

This is another Digital Marketing strategy which involves getting your content rich with links and is also known as social bookmarking.  This requires you to know your audience in order to aware of the site they visit most frequently.  Avoid using hidden links and make sure visitors find your links useful.

Online Copywriting

This form of Digital Marketing strategy is the content of your site and your blog.  You must make sure your website’s content is not copied and is 100% authentic.  It will make your website unique which can be the reason for your improved website traffic.

Social Media Marketing

Social Media Marketing makes the biggest part of the Digital Marketing strategies.  It includes the entire Social Media networks such as Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Flickr, MySpace, and other such forums.  Hence, if you want your business to stay ahead of the competitors you will have to keep your audience interacting at such platforms.  There are professional consultants who are ready to help you if you are unaware how or don’t have time to use Social Media Marketing efficiently.  In fact, competent consultants probably will save you time and money.

Email Marketing

This is another Digital Marketing strategy that businesses have been following.  It includes promoting your products and services by sending informational mails to a list of subscribers.  Some very advanced systems, such as WSI Digital Marketing Pro, can make sure that your email works efficiently and according to the regulations.

Compete Effectively Against the Bigger Brands with SEO

One of the greatest advantages the Internet has over the Yellow Pages is that the Yellow Pages puts your business right next to your competitors, whereas the Internet gives you infinite scope to differentiate yourself from competitors. In addition to this, the various analytical tools available to website owners allows for you to identify areas where you can make an improvement to your website.

I Have Good Content, But I still Don't Rank on Google's First Page.  Why?

This is a question that is asked many times. The way Google prioritizes its search rankings is done in two
ways:

  1. On-page optimization – at the very basic level, it is where the good content comes in with the related keywords being used in headings, sub headings, bullets and internal link text.
  2. Off-page optimization – These are external links that point to your website from other websites. These links are seen as recommendations and build credibility for your website.  Google ranks your web page based on the number of valuable related links. You could view this as a voting system; the one with the most related votes will do well.

What Is Effective Website Content?

Everyone should understand the value of effective quality content when it comes to Internet Marketing.  But what defines effective content?  The biggest mistake I see is the lack of understanding by the website owner of how the visitor will preceive the product or service.

Rule Number One: Look at your website from an outsider's viewpoint.

Developing effective content begins with your own belief in the products and services you are providing.   If you do not have complete belief in your products, your content will show it and, therefore, your visitors will not believe either.

If you are offering quality services and products to your customers, you are doing them a favor.  When you know you are providing this to your customers, it will be reflected in your site content both in words and in tone.

Your content should inform your customers of the following:
•    What products and services you offer in a clear and concise phrase
•    How these products and services will benefit the customer
•    Write a call-to-action from the customer

Most website owners take time to make sure their Home page is perfect for attracting and retaining visitors, but often the internal pages of a website are not given the same attention when building a website.

This can be a real problem for your marketing.  Not all visitors enter your website through your Home page.  Check your statistics and you may be surprised to learn that a lot of traffic enters your site through the internal pages.  Think about it.  These visitors never even may look at your wonderful Home page.  This makes it important that every page of your website be developed with the same intensity as you provided for your Home page.

Every page of your website should let visitors know what you and your website are about.  This can be accomplished with an opening sentence such as, “My Company offers quality ink cartridges at wholesale prices."  Every visitor to a page with this at the top will know what you are all about.   A concise statement about what you offer the benefits to your visitor will make a difference in your conversion rates.

Your website pages should have a call-to-action even if it is as simple as a purchase button.  To sum it up, look at your text as a prospect would, tell your prospect concisely what you do, and make sure the action they need to take is as simple as possible.
